Busy weekend at Springdale -
Saturday AM we had 3 timeslots, but only rounded up 11 players. I shot 42+41 83 with 1 birdie. I really played much better than that but lost it for 7/8/9 where I went double/triple/double. Bummer as on #8 I was 2 in the right front bunker, with a rear left flag. PERFECT! but I air-mailed it halfway to the first green. DAMN! With my bad chipping it was a nightmare being short-sided.
Sunday I hosted two groups for lunch and golf: my tennis buddies Paul.F and Jim.P and my old friend Fred.K & his buddies Tom and Rich. We went out 3 + 3 in two carts and played in about 3.5 hours. Shot 42 + 42 84. Missed a 5 foot birdie putt on #13, a hole I need in BirdieFest. It was a quad carryover too so that was a $9 putt! Still made $4 with the greenie. But we didn't pay out junk or skins, it was hectic inside apres-golf. It was a great day!
I am a home 13 at present but I noticed I am trending 11! Hope my back holds out, golf is becoming physically difficult for me. Putting better thought.
Saturday night Debbie and I went to The Grain House and had a wonderful dinner.
